Meadows are special places, they are at
the same time welcoming and secretive.
This meadow is a special place. It is a
place best entered slowly and indirectly
as one might try to approach woodland
fawn hiding in the high grass. Morning
and evening, when the light is soft and
warm are the best times to visit. Once
in this special place, it is best to sit, be
still, look and listen. The blue heron, a
resident is having breakfast. The Sep-
tember sun has been up twenty minutes.
The morning mist is starting to slip away.
